Thinking about joining the Powderly VFD? Outstanding!!!, we have a simple process that only takes a month or 2 to complete. Below is a application for you to fill out and email. We also offer a junior firefighter program for ages 16-17 for teens looking to help their community.
Step .1 Apply, fill out the application below and submit to PowderlyVFD@gmail.com

Step .2 Pass a simple background check, note that not all convictions will result in immediate disqualification

Step .3 Attend a interview, the interview is a very basic face-face conversation with three members of the Fire Dept. You will be asked simple questions so that we can learn more about you

Step .4 Be voted on by our board of directors. After applying you must attend one of our annual business meetings to be voted on which are held at 6:30 PM on every 2nd Monday of the Month
​
Step .5 Orientation, after being voted on you must attend a orientation that usually lasts about an hour or two. There you will be given our SOP's and SOG's, you will then go through extensive training on the regular operations of the Fire Dept.
