"The Powderly VFD is proud to say that we are a 100% non-profit Volunteer Fire
Department, this means that we require absolutely zero tax dollars to operate and also
means that we rely off donations to keep operations going. Thanks to a supportive
community we can purchase some of the best equipment in our region to better protect
our community.
What your donation pays for
1. Fuel for our fleet of fire apparatus.
2.Gear to protect our firefighters. 
3.Tools to fire fires and save lives.
4. Station utilities such as electricity and phone service.
5.Coutinuous training for our firefighters.
6. Grants. There are various grants available for volunteer fire departments, but they
require matching funds in order to apply
7. Unexpected expenses such as vehicle repairs.
